This Privacy Policy explains how Lonn the Dons Residential Concierge LLC, doing business as Lonn The Don's Residential Concierge ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information when you engage our residential concierge services or use our client portal at home.lonnthedon.com (also reachable at app.groundsmate.com), branded as GroundsMate.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated as we serve your home, including:
- Contact and account details: your name, email address, mobile and other phone numbers, mailing and property addresses, and login credentials.
- Property and service information: details about your home, service requests, appointments, estimates, invoices, photos, and documents you or our team add to your account.
- Payment information: processed through our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our own servers.
- Usage information: basic technical data such as device and browser type used to keep the portal secure and working.
How we use your information
- To provide, schedule, and manage the concierge services you request.
- To communicate with you about requests, estimates, appointments, invoices, and time-sensitive updates (including urgent weather or property notices).
- To operate, secure, and improve the client portal.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
SMS text messaging
With your consent, we send service-related text messages to the mobile number on your account, such as confirmation that a request was received, notice that an estimate is ready, appointment scheduling and confirmations, visit reminders, and urgent property or weather notices.
How you opt in
You provide your mobile number and enable text messages during onboarding or in your account under Settings › Notifications, where you actively turn on the "Text message" option. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.
Message frequency and rates
Message frequency varies based on your account activity; you will typically receive up to a few messages per month. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opting out and help
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by turning off the "Text message" option in Settings. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below. After you reply STOP, we will stop sending you text messages except for a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed.
No sharing of mobile information
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in / consent information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared only with service providers (such as our messaging platform) strictly to help us deliver these messages to you. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third parties for any other purpose.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run our business, and never sell it. This may include:
- Service providers who work on our behalf (for example, hosting, messaging, and payment processing) under obligations to protect your information.
- Vendors and crew assigned to complete a service you requested, limited to what they need for that work.
- Legal and safety disclosures where required by law or to protect people and property.
As stated above, mobile numbers and SMS consent are excluded from any sharing for third-party marketing.
Data retention and security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal and business requirements, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls and encryption in transit, to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
- Update your contact details and notification preferences (email, text, in-app) in your account Settings.
- Opt out of text messages by replying STOP or toggling the setting off.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
Children's privacy
Our services and portal are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
